The development of the new OCP site and interface continues. The online text-editing interface is now up and running in basic form. This will mean that those of you who help to edit OCP text will be able to work on them directly on this site, without having to worry about special document formats or XML. I am continuing to tweak the user-interface to try and strike on the best use of screen-space that will be flexible enough for both large desktop monitors and small netbooks or iPads. The new text-reader interface is broken temporarily while I re-factor some of the code to allow for dynamic resizing of the text columns. It should be up and running again soon.
Some things to come in the next few weeks:
- a "Documents" menu at the top of the left-hand tabs
- ability for users to add bug reports (and status indicators for those bug reports)
- more robust function in the text-editing interface
Once the reader interface is running well again I will also begin migrating the introductions and texts from the legacy site, in preparation for the full launch of this new site in time for the SBL meetings in November.
